Austin Smith and Bryan Fox are the two guys behind the "Drink Water" brand that is spreading fast around the action sports industry. Both these guys got a little uncomfortable about how the Energy drink companies have become so encouraging to young people in regards to their products. All the caffeine, sugar and other ingredients;some in which we still do not know many details on.
As of last year, "Drink Water" came about and now the guys are making t-shirts, hoodies, stickers, and coats to spread the word about their message. They are also donating 10% of profits to provide drinking water to someone in need.
No selling water here...just drinking and spreading the good word!
What are your feelings on energy drinks in the industry? Would you stop drinking them and shift to water? Let us know!!

Elephant Skateboards

MIKE VALLELY: SKATEBOARDING

Professional skateboarder, Mike Vallely, is giving an attempt to create his own skateboard brand....for the 4th time! If you don't remember; in the past, Mike launched "TV Skateboards, "Vallely Skateboards", and By" The Sword skateboards". All three of those board brands did not really make it's way anywhere in the industry, but he is giving it another whirl and we are standing behind him to succeed with this one.
Vallely is a New Jersey guy and has skated for Powell Skateboards for some time. Rumor has it he was running into problems with them every now and then and as of October 2011 started to create his own line and make his way off Powell this December.
Look out for Elephant skateboards as a brand that really represents Mike as who he is...a skateboarder who just loves to skate.
Come and see all your favorite brands at the Agenda Trade Show. The show will be hitting Long Beach on January 5th and 6th and then on the east coast in NY on January 23rd and 24th.

50-50 Grind Record, UK

GUINNESS WORLD RECORD: SNOWBOARDING

Our December Highlight goes to Calum Paton. If you didn't hear this story, Paton set the record for the longest 50-50 grind on December 2, 2011. Paton went 259.5 feet down a rail at the Sno!Zone in Milton Keynes, England. The rail was custom built for this purpose and was put together by Whitelines Snowboard Magazine, and EA Sports.
This record was set previously by a Spanish rider by the name of Alejandro Benito. In 2009, Benito set the record in a indoor slope just like the Sno!Zone. Congrats to Calum bringing in this record just minutes before the event ended for the night!
